She is just making the point that it’s etiquette to put them down. It’s the equivalent of someone putting you 5 feet platform and expecting you to jump down- it gets old and even if you’re “built for it “ it’s annoying and does wear you out.

OMG YES ! We always let our cat down super gently. Hes so trusting and calm. They absolutely hate being dropped. They don't trust people who drop them.

I Am doing more research for my cat, as a new cat mom, however I for some reason fear that this should be common sense. I would be scared my cat and landed on the ground and injured herself or something 😭 (especially if they are small)

My cat is getting old and refuses to jump, but he also won’t tell me when he wants down, so he just gets carried around against his will until I don’t want him anymore
