It used to be like that in 2020 because it was designed that way to attract users initially. Once they got the users, then next step was to monetize it. Every (successful) social media app followed a similar trajectory. TikTok is a business, we (the users) are the product, and the advertisers keep the lights on.

Well, in this case it’s not the people that you have a problem with it’s gotta be the app itself because it is the app that is creating these opportunities for said content creators. It might be time to log off and delete and that’s OK cause sometimes you might need to spend some time with yourself on how to rebrand yourself and how to fit in with the newness of TikTok.
