as a jeweler, most men pay a LOT for their girls ring. i can see how it mightve hurt his feelings/pride when she bought a fake bigger ring. love that shes not wearing the real one swimming tho!

My mother had 2 fakes( 1 silver, 1 gold) both bigger than her original. Dad upgraded her WAY bigger than the fakes but she still wore the fakes for safety.

It’s not about you pretending to be something you’re not, it’s about him feeling inadequate because he wishes he could’ve afforded a bigger Ring for you and now he’s taking it out on you instead of being honest.

Are they newly weds? I don’t get the argument from either side 🤷♀️. I only wear my wedding ring set when I remember to put them on or for special occasions. Maybe we have been married long enough to not care either way.

I am a nurse and have a fake ring I wore to work so I wouldn't lose the ring or diamonds putting on and taking off gloves 200 times a day- my fake ring is very similar to my real ring and my husband couldn't tell them apart 🤣
