I've told both of my kids (22 male and 19 female) since they were younger they need to be selfish with their choices. Live your life how you see fit, no matter what that looks like.

we've been married 30 years with 4 kiddos. We had 5 years pre kids. It's has nothing to do with selfish, it's preparation. It's in the kids' best interest to be ready.

I am glad I had my son but it was expected you know?? I wish I would have taken all that money and travelled more, saw more. I did the same thing with my grandkids. Wasting money on them when I would be more appreciative using that money to travel. I’m glad it’s okay to not have kids or to wait without the judgement from others
