@catalistmedia.my: Aida Ihsani walked away from law to build something entirely different—Malaysia’s first women’s woodworking workshop. While studying law in the UK, financial struggles forced her to rethink her path. In 2014, she discovered her passion for woodworking while building homes for the Orang Asli. Noticing how women were discouraged from using power tools, she launched a workshop in 2019 to change that. Today, her HRDF-certified program has trained thousands, giving women across Malaysia the confidence and skills to work with their hands—no permission needed. ℹ️ All image rights belong to their respective owners; we do not claim ownership. #SuccessStory #Malaysia #CatalistMedia
i salute her but.. when did malaysia forbid women from using power tools? I'm an engineer, i used to create machines literally from scratch...

Malaysian women are free to learn any work skills ..no oppression.. statement by "often discouraged by family or society" is not valid to all..maybe it only happened to 0.00000001%..

The narrator never said women were not allowed or forbidden to use power tools in Malaysia …they were only discouraged. And mostly by fathers and spouses. I’d say mothers too. But not to deprive or discriminate, but more out of love and care for their women.

I have no problem with women doing tradesmenship, as long as they passionate with what they are doing and know how to properly use the tools given
