I think more airports should do this, it gives passengers who are getting connecting flights to get a taste for the city without leaving the airport

As someone who works in this airport, this is NOT good for us. The lowest meal is an 8$ Burger not even fries. 8$ for a slice of plain cheese pizza, 13$ for a baked potato these locally owned places charge insane rates for food

Imagine traveling to Austin but only wanting to see chains 😅 yall are nuts. Airport prices are always high - the locally owned spots aren’t anything higher. You want your money going to bezos instead of a local spot? What’s the point of visiting us then?

The big secret is that 90% of those "local" restaurants are operated by Delaware north and just franchises. Nothing local about them but the name.

They’re not really the local chains though. They’ve just licensed their name to a Sysco or Aaramark. The food is pretty gross
