When people say they don’t use flea/tick prevention I ask them if they really want to take that gamble. Some people have to bug bomb their home. And we live in a super tick/borne disease prone area. Low heartworm rate but so many people only have their dog on heartgard.

That’s what I’ve been trying to explain to people, talk to your vet or read about fleas, stay away from social media advice! Listen only to professional and don’t panic, let’s normalise this and be patient. Being careful to overall bugs should be the basic rule anyways.

Do they stick to stuff? Like if I shake stuff out and then vacuum anything that falls will that get it all? Specifically I’m disabled so need help with chores, so if I have a laundry basket and pull everything out and shake it, is it safe to give to someone to wash for me? Or do I run the risk of transferring the problem to their home too?
