what symptoms did you have? my son was diagnosed with chondromalacia patella grade 2, but want him to have 6 weeks of PT then if that doesn't help surgery

I just got diagnosed with a grade 3 medial chondromalacia patella lesion with a chronic moderate acl sprain and a mild sprain of my lateral meniscus where it attached to my acl. i’ve had this injury for over a year now. how long did you go before getting surgery?

I fell a few years ago when I was delivering for Amazon all my weight landed on my knee, level 4 cartilage tear I have none left😅 they told me the surgery is 50/50 so insurance wouldn't cover it 🙃

I have just been diagnosed with this along with a lateral patella tilt. I never got told a grade and wasn’t aware there were any! All I was told was that my cartilage has worn down and it’s a guess of trying physio, then stem cell therapy and surgery?? I’m so confused on where I go from here😭
