It’s like people forget that people had dogs before Covid normalized WFH…vast majority of people left their dog for a minimum of 8 hrs a day. As long as they’re getting lots of exercise, enrichment, and snuggles when you get home, the dog is fine lol

I think it’s so weird when people say dogs shouldn’t be alone for more than a couple hours. So people with full time jobs shouldn’t have dogs? I promise they’d rather be home alone sometimes than in the shelter all the time.

I’m so happy that Sweden is far more progressive when it comes to animals well being. Dogs are not allowed to be alone more than 5h and has to be walked at least every 6h, and it’s based on the breed and age of the dog. Smaller dog, smaller bladder, so they have to be walked more often. We walk our chi every 4h

It's mad how different dog ownership is in America compared to the UK! There's no way anyone would leave their dog that long over here without having a dog walker come in or even just leaving them with a sitter all day!
