Season 3 Spoiler: As a law student I would like to add- the lawyer would not have been able to stop representing her in the middle of trial just for lack of payment. He’d have to ask the judge to be removed, and non payment is generally not an acceptable reason because he can sue her for payment later.

I am a lawyer and don't tell your therapist you've killed someone, their notes can be used as evidence in court. Also therapists are not supposed to break confidenciality but do you want to bet your life on it?
