@tampabaydeveloper: Could the Rays still land in Ybor? They were almost there. Darryl Shaw worked directly with the team to place a stadium on the site that’s now home to Gasworx. He acquired the parcels needed but the deal collapsed before it could move forward. Gasworx is now a transformative mixed-use project, but Shaw hasn’t ruled out Ybor Harbor as a potential home for the Rays' new stadium. The site includes space for a major sports anchor. Baseball is still possible, but a soccer stadium is more likely. Shaw owns the Tampa Bay Sun and has hinted that Ybor Harbor could be their future home. A few locations I thought of are Florida State Fairgrounds maybe get Hardrock to sponsor Hardrock field, where Westshore mall is now, either one of the old dog tracks, or Oldsmar flea market
