One way that you can help Cuba is to advocate for the dissovment of the embargo’s on Cuba that the USA has continually upheld. It prevents much needed resources from entering the country to actually allow their citizens access to resources

Thank you so much for telling the world about the current situation in Cuba — that alone means a lot. What’s happening in Cuba deserves all the visibility possible; human rights are being violated there.

To everyone saying it’s not a big deal and that we lived without internet before—sure, but this isn’t about having access to the internet. As someone born and raised in Cuba, I can tell you this is about control. Before 2015, we had no internet, and the government controlled the narrative through propaganda and lies. Once we got online and saw the world for ourselves, we realized how manipulated and suppressed we were. That’s when people began to speak out and protest.

I thought Cuba is in an economic crise because USA keep applying sanctions to Cuba together with their allies because they have a socialist government and socialism actually works and USA is terrified of Cuba being an example to other countries

it might be easier for them to provide cheap and free WiFi if the USA lifted its embargo on Cuba so they could get the parts to make better and cheaper WiFi and cell towers, don't you think?

As a Cuban thank you for using your platform to make this known. People have no idea what's going on, they could never wrap their brains around having a communist regime controlling every single aspect of your life.

I don’t like how the government has so much control over people like that’s so scary they could just start a war or create strict laws to prevent people from rights and stuff

Problem is that for many things, not just WiFi, the price is in USD. Not pesos. Cubans don’t earn in USD, but in pesos. So Cubans must have someone on the outside to pay for these services and products inside Cuba. This extends to food and other everyday items
