mulch or pine needles around the base of the plant can help keep it hydrated. also when it's hot water before sunrise and/ or after sunset. water in the heat of the day can shock plants

This SC heat is brutal. We have a shade cloth over our entire garden. Our garden is approximately 16x28.

cucumbers are so dramatic. they should pop back when it cools off as long as they have water. i do pick the cakes tho!

2 things!! One:You need mulch and 2 50% shade cloth over them and then your plants will retain the water because of that mulch on top of your dirt this has been the only thing that's helped my garden this year! It's just wayyyy too hot for our gardens! It's trying to kill our plants 🪴 😭
