12v Milwaukee is great for automotive. Enough power for 99% of fasteners and fits in super tight spots

I think the HVAC guys will love the sub- compact. But it’s not for me but I do love my 12v Fuel tools though

That’s for the light duty jobs like, electrical, HVAC, cabinetry… etc. Not for driving 6” timber screws into a beam. 😅

The subcompact is only meant to replace the original brushed kit it's a cheap alternative to buying the fuel

I think you would probably notice a difference if you were doing overhead stuff with it all day otherwise it doesn’t really matter.

Any where the fuel wouldn’t fit like driving in bolts in a wheel well or removing screws make it a life saver

it's when you have to carry it around all day for weeks at a time. it fits better on your belt and is lighter

I was thinking it would be great for trimming out boxes and panels not for driving lags

they dominate in HVAC most the time their only driving 1 to 1\2 inch self tappers not a lot of power is needed but that wait reduction makes a huge difference carrying them all day

I see no difference between the old fuel and new sub compact I use it everyday and have no complaints. Have you used it anywhere other than your garage?

Recently I was gifted a set of M12 FUEL, impact driver and drill. I was actually surprised at how much power they have for such small tools. Makes a big difference when you’re working above your head or in a tight spot.

The 12 V subcompacts can get into tighter places that the 18 V can't, especially with the 2 1/2 amp hour battery the 12 V can also do 99% of the jobs that the 18 V can and do it much cheaper.✌️

When you are in tight spaces they will be useful. But then you have tool options too. Gotta keep them engineers employed
