@tator_totts: Happy national homebirth day!! My biggest accomplishments so far, and my pride and joy, was bringing my babies into the world in the comfort of my own home. It was incredible. My first time with my daughter, I left my OB Because he was awful and it was in the middle of Covid, so they were making everything 10 times worse for me....especially being a first time mom. After a VERY uncomfortable appointment, my husband and I decided we were not gonna go back and I asked him if he would be comfortable with me just having her at home… Of course he supported whatever I was comfortable, with so we ended up finding an incredible Midwife in Arizona. My birth with my daughter was life-changing in the most beautiful way possible. I knew literally the next day, that when we had another one, I would do it the exact same way! When we moved to the Midwest, I had a really hard time finding a Midwife because homebirths aren't really a thing in our area. But with my old midwife's help we were able to find another incredible Midwife who would be a part of our pregnancy with our son ! It was so cool seeing her have my daughter help out with little things and made me feel so comfortable and confident especially being away from home during that time. I know natural births/ homebirth's are not for everybody, and that's 1000% ok. But my experiences with my decisions were incredible, and I am so beyond proud of what I did! I'm so thankful to all of my family and friends who got to be there to witness and be a part of each birth. So for today, shout out to all the homebirth mamas out there!
