Iโve heard โin (the) hospitalโ always means the person is hospitalized but canโt it really be used to tell your location, like the following situation: Iโm visiting my dad who is in the hospital and arrive around 10am, and my sister says she will be there around 10:20, so I tell her I will be waiting for her in a caffe right in front of the hostipal. However, she wonโt show up at 10:30 so I call her to ask where she is now, and she replies โIโm (already) in the hospital.โ I think the last sentence is natural, isnโt it?

Even though I understand what you mean. Prepositions are not an easy thing. The only thing worse is the articles.
Thanks ๐ฅฐ

You said "in my office" "in the store" "in my home", so if I am inside the school "in" would be correct? "I'm in the school" or is it an exception?

Please create more content like this.
Very helpful because prepositions are very confusing.
Let me suggest the word (work).
eg. work for/with/at/on/in etc.
Thanks a lot in advance. ๐ซก๐

Same for hospital. In hospital, you are sick or have been operated on. Whereas at the hospital, you are visiting someone or went there for fizzies from the vending machine.
