@bradstravelss: So I had a quick layover in Beijing -China 🇨🇳 and all I wanted to do is visit the Great Wall and tick another wonder of the world off. So i did want to go straight off the plane but immigration decided to long me out and the china decided to confuse the hell out of me so I had to go in the morning. I met a really cool taxi guy called Xiao Fu who took me around and chatting away through WeChat! As Xiao Fu knew I was short for time he took me to part of the wall that was close and wouldn’t have many people. We arrived before opening time and he spoke to someone who worked there and they kindly let me in early. Great experience and crazy how they built such a megastructure over 2000 years ago over such difficult terrain.
