@meadowclarkhome: Follow along—we’re building a secret under-stair office, and I might already regret it. When we added this new staircase, Levi and I both lost our shared home office. Since we both work from home, we had to get creative… which led to this: his-and-her secret hideaway desks tucked under the stairs behind a full wall of built-ins and a very squatty hobbit door. It’s cozy, it’s functional, and it feels like a win… except for one glaring issue: there are zero windows in this space. As in, no natural light, no view of the farm, no way to see if the pigs escaped again or if the mailman is walking into chaos. And listen, I study prisons for a living—I don’t want to work in one. We’ve got a long way to go, but the vision is coming together.
