its a big deal bc that means there is literally NO physical copy of that game. When Nintendo shuts down the Switch 2 store (which they will eventually) these game key cards are 100% useless and people cant legally obtain the game anymore.

I’d rather have a game key card instead of just a code in the box. Once you use a code its tied to that account. The game key card has resale value or you can let people borrow it.

The big deal part is that Nintendo can delete your games now if they choose to. All games are not yours. Your just renting the game until the company decides to choose other wise

Game key cards are a scam. In 12 years, they become useless pieces of plastic when the online service get shut down. Like Will U and Nintendo 3DS digital games are gone. Never download again after 12 years.
