Are there any local models where a researcher/developer stripped out the majority to allow for a single coding model so the parameters are small and the llm just focuses on writing code?

Quick correction: you aren't downloading the training data. You are downloading and using the model weights (Which are effectively just the numbers in the algorithm that's being used) and using those weights your computer does a ton of algebra to predict the next token.

Good tutorial, just one thing it's not the entire training data that's being downloaded, just the weights, model architecture and tokenizer.
