I remember the first time I had derealization when I woke up and I when to brush my teeth in the morning and I looked up into the mirror and thought to myself, who am I, what are my connections to this world, am I me or am I a soul puppeting a body, am I *name*, and I, in sorts jumped into a perspective I’ve never reached, a sort of third person perspective and then I went on with my day like nothing happened but that thought and experience still sits with me to this day.

Sometimes I walk around and I feel like I’m not in my body and when I’m with friends I look around and see them having a good time and it’s like they’ve never seen me or met me in my life it’s like I’m not in control of me

I’ve had derealization since 2021, it went away for abt a year and came back. the only reason why it came back is because i got it again after not having it, and starting fearing it again, the only reason why you get derealization is from stressing and letting it take over your mind, derealization is also anxiety so aslong as your not fearing and trying too fight it, it will eventually go away, it takes time too get this mindset and accept derealization, but your not alone and will be okay
