My first apartment was carpeted and the carpet was so gross. When I moved out I got an apartment with hardwood floors and I will never like wall to wall carpet ever again

The landlord would definitely allow replacing the carpet as long as the tenant pays for it. Otherwise it’s coming out of the security deposit and they will replace it before renting to a new tenant anyway.
