Better yet, many of us have to “earn” the time thru worked hours and then if we get sick it gets taken for that and again for holidays that the job isn’t open.

I’m with a healthcare specialist office, we only get 5 paid holidays off and you earn X amount of hours per pay period for PTO, I’ve been there 10 years so I get enough hours for 3 weeks off a year

I accrue 15 vacation days, 13 additional holidays, and 18 sick days per year. We can carry forward 30 days off for vacation days and endless sick time. As you’re there longer you can accrue 24 vacation days. I’m a WV state employee. They’re very generous wirh benefit time.

At my job you get 8 hours a month vacation..8 sick leave..we get other paid holidays and personal business leave. the longer you work your hours a month off increases.

I have 6 weeks paid time off. That is sick and vacation time. We have 8 paid holidays and 2 floating holidays. This is definitely not the standard though.

I have 12 years with my company and I get 4 weeks of vacation, but 1 week is bought. I get 2 weeks of sick time as well

Emergency room Nurse here. I get about 3 weeks a year but no sick days. Being around sick people all the time… you end up getting sick multiple times a year. So you end up using 1-2 weeks worth for sick days. It really is horrible.

My job gives us 40 hours of paid time off that’s for the entire year I work healthcare we do not get holidays off and we don’t get anything paid extra we also don’t get any paid maternity leave.

Two weeks the first year you work somewhere (as a full time employee). The longer you work somewhere the more vacation you get. And we get about 10 paid holidays a year.

I get 40 hours sick time every May and 48 vacation hours every October on my hire in date. Been with my company for almost 5 years. After 6 years I get more hours. But not a lot☹️

15 days for sick and vacation tends to be the norm around here. Also, we have less bank holidays than yall. You get one day at Christmas too- no Boxing Day off

Depends on the company you work for. We get starting 3 weeks 4 personal, 1 floating, your birthday, 11 holidays, and at 10 years a 6 week sabbatical, and then a sabbatical every 5 years after. Oh and by 10 years you’re getting 220 hours of vacation. We can also roll over our 90hrs of sick each year till we max at 540. Our benefits are also paid in full by the company!
