@demijanell: Had the most amazing time on the red carpet for the Critic Choice Association’s 2nd Annual Celebration of LGBTGIA+ in Cinema & Television. The night was filled with love, laughter, immense talent, and FASHION!! The hottest trend is broaches right now and so many were on theme. @shrrycola was amazing being brought back to host for the second year in a row. Congratulations to all the honorees from @nathanleegraham (Vanguard Award), @niecynash1 (Groundbreaker Award), @fayedunaway (Comedy Award) and so many others. I want to give a special shoutout to the icon that is @iamwandasykes So many times POC, especially WOMEN of Color get overlooked as reporters on the red carpet. When she was being ushered away, Ms Sykes said to them “No, I’m standing right here” and proceeded to let me interview her. She saw the micro aggression and handled it in real time. I thanked her for doing so, in which she held my hand and said it was not right and she wouldn’t stand for it. THAT’S WHY SHE IS RESPECTED! Wanda stands up for everyone! She was receiving her Career Achievement Award, but she has so much more to give. She deserves all her flowers, and I truly thank you for seeing me.
