Been thru this before few times on the cashier end. Customer always ends up finding it. Whenever I give a card back to someone now, I verbally announce outloud, something like… “and here is your card back.”

I had someone accuse me of stealing their phone at my job. Cussed me out and called the police and everything. Then his kid walked in and said “mommy found it in the car” and he just walked out and left without saying a word.

I go thru enough drive thrus that I have NEVER had them put my card in the bag. Its always handed right to me. yeah, he was wrong

had 2 ladies say their car was stolen. I backtracked them on video and found it on the other side of the lot. they swore up and down someone moved it when they were in the store. I watched you park it ma'am. They never did believe me no matter what I said. I even showed them pics from the video😂

Former Pharmacy Tech here. I worked at rite aid pharmacy and we have always put the customer’s card inside of the bag. We had a lady argue with one of my coworkers saying it wasn’t in the bag or anything and said we should go out and look for it. She stood up and got out of her car and wouldn’t you know, it fell out of her lap.

To be fair, I had this happen at a bank one time with my ID. The lady told me she gave it back to me. I said no you didn’t. She said I know that I gave it back to you so I spent about five minutes looking around my car and I said it’s not here and then she said oh I’m sorry it’s sitting right here on the desk

So this happened to me once. But they actually did steal my card. It wasnt until the 3rd time and I came in with someone else that they finally said they miraculously found it. It was over an hour of back and forth. I was so respectful but cussed her out at the end (she was the manager too). Made a review and they deleted it. Made a 2nd review from another email, they deleted it too 🤣

My daughter just went thru this at her coffee shop. Customer accused them of stealing it. Wasted everyone's time just for it to be in her car. No apologies.
