@nepalmountainguides: 📍Roped crevasse fall rescue systems. This rigging system is one of the most commonly useful. A big part of rigging rescue systems is not because of injured climbers but because of overhanging snow at the lip (part of why someone falls in the first place). When the rope cuts deeply into the overhang during a fall it pretty much requires the person in the hole to tunnel out. While hanging this is not feasible. We need to rig another escape route where we’ve cut away part of the overhang. You’ll want to do this next to the person in the hole not on them—otherwise you shovel a ton of snow onto them and potentially risk collapsing a dangerous section of snow onto them. This means you’re going to rig a second system on a drop C instead of hauling them on the line they went in on and makes creating an anchor system using the climbing rope easy.
