fun fact he named it ‘la commedia” later on a critic added the “divine” due to its cultural relevance, social and political critic and lastly the impact it has on the development of italian as a lenguage. The dialect its called “fiorentino”, from florence and he considered it the purest form of language. It remained like that until Manzoni in the 19th century wrote the first italian dictionary. and guess what it took so much from the fiorentino dantesco, yet not just from that. that’s why we consider him the father of our culture and lenguage.
