absolutely nothing wrong with having two kindles! i bring my kindle basic everywhere with me, my paperwhite stays home, and i have a kobo libra color that i strictly read my library books on !

I just ordered the newest basic one. and i am kinda nervous about reading at night. it will be my first kindle ever and i've read lots of comments that say it is still comfortable to read. but after what you said i am not so sure😭😭😭
