I remember getting lost in Istanbul when my plane landed at night. My phone's battery was dead. A nice man gave me directions to my hotel and told me which subways to use. I got in the wrong one. I was tired, sweaty, lowkey scared. Eventually I made it to my hotel after 2 and a half hours of wandering, taking the wrong subways, and eventually getting a cab. I look back at that night fondly.
