you like to work at night you don’t like to rotate cops you do like to take subsidies and you do like to like have the water evaporate because it’s an excess of 20,000 gallons per day per square mile. that that equals waste, waste, waste, waste, waste waste

Ever year I have anxiety about some fields. Usually at harvest I'm surprised that it's not as bad as I imagined.

Need precision planting my friend. Smartfirmer and Deltaforce would’ve solved your prob. Planting is such a challenge.

I got a field looking about the same. What kind of downforce system are you using? And how did you have it set?

Should probably just never plant corn on corn anyway i understand probably not possible for your situation but it’s not good for your soil or for your corn

I've been planting for over 50 years and it's aways achallenge. I put a $100,000 upgrade on the planter I have but still hard to fine tune it with different soil types within the same field. Precision planting isn't all that precise under those conditions. Appreciate your honesty, don't beat yourself up my friend...shit happens.

Why did you decide corn on corn? I can see it when corn price is good but not now

I think the key to corn on corn starts in the previous fall by sizing residue and getting the field as black as possible, which might take two tillage passes.

always impressed how it does even out, but definitely can affect yields. I set 1/2 inch deeper for corn on corn . good luck!

100% cultivate it to get some soil for the brace roots. lot of weather yet to determine yield. try not to worry - things always work out one way or another.

Most of my mistakes happen when I’m in a hurry. It was a good lesson that you’ve obviously learned from. Keep your head up it happens to us all.

We had some of that with soybeans following con. The soil was so dry and fine I don't think there's anything you can do. It's an anomaly.

Cultivating is a great idea. Also check on potassium levels in the plant. Having enough with help tremendously with standability and making sure those shallower roots can still cope with mid/late season stress.
