I was able to buy a townhouse but a single family home was overwhelming because they all needed work if I bought them and were 500k minimum. I bought in centennial though not city

Buy a fixer upper with a FHA 203k loan. Live in it for a year and rent it out. Rinse Repeat

You have to get married and then buy together and then divorce and you’ll get half of those home proceeds and THEN you buy house alone

Started saving at 18, bought at 31 buuuuut had no school loan debt, lived like a pauper for years, and bought in 2021 w 2.9% interest & 3.5% down. I also grew up in Detroit & rough parts of Toledo… sooooo nowhere in Denver is sketchy to me 🤣 . My partner moving in helped financially as well.

I rent my basement to traveling nurses. I am also a realtor that helps clients figure out the affordability. Convessions, househacking, CHFA, Have you met with a lender yet?

I fear I had to wait until I was married. Surviving on one income here is so hard.

It’s too expensive for even combined income. I’m making what I think would be a fantastic income and can’t even think about buying in this market

Bought a home in a tiny town in 2020.. rates and homes were cheap. I moved back to the city life, the home appreciated 200k. Idk, that’s the only way it happened but I sacrificed my mental health big time

Leaving out your income and age bracket makes that question super hard to answer.

I saved up $20k, got a condo that used to be a house in my favorite area that is maybe a bit more expensive than I should have, got a second job. But I love it so much.

Got hit by a car in Denver and bought a house in Colorado Springs. Try crossing some sketchy crosswalks?
