I was able to buy a townhouse but a single family home was overwhelming because they all needed work if I bought them and were 500k minimum. I bought in centennial though not city

Started saving at 18, bought at 31 buuuuut had no school loan debt, lived like a pauper for years, and bought in 2021 w 2.9% interest & 3.5% down. I also grew up in Detroit & rough parts of Toledo… sooooo nowhere in Denver is sketchy to me 🤣 . My partner moving in helped financially as well.

Bought a home in a tiny town in 2020.. rates and homes were cheap. I moved back to the city life, the home appreciated 200k. Idk, that’s the only way it happened but I sacrificed my mental health big time
