Nah... As a born Jamaican (who can also cook), I can assure you that there's not a single Jamaican restaurant in Charlotte that I'd recommend. I lived in Connecticut for 26 years. The worst Jamaican restaurant in Connecticut would probably rank as the best in Charlotte. The Jamaican restaurants in the south are overpriced, lack authenticity, and the portions are way too small. Btw, I've tried the restaurant mentioned. Put it this way, I didn't finish the food...

i used to work across from them at ponderosa apts when i tell you they knew my number and just confirmed my order when i called cause i went EVERY DAY😩😩😩 I MISS IT

Yeaaaa I remember the first week I moved to clt and someone recommended this spot. I spent $25 took one bite and tossed it in the trash. I’ve been disappointed by almost every Caribbean spot in CLT. Honorable mentions: Ms Didi’s, Lakou and chateau creole. -signed a Caribbean (that can cook) living in clt (purgatory) 😭

Some of the best Jamaican food I've ever had from Charlotte (my hometown, btw), was from a Jamaican spot called Crystal's. It was a nightclub, and the food was top tier. IYKYK! 🥰

I am a Jamaican and their is no good Jamaican food in Charlotte. You will need go to Island Pub in Rock Hill SC. The food is really good and the portion size is huge.
