I think of Great Whites in Cape Cod like I do Moose at home in RMNP. The population is booming and while they’d rather not mess with you, if they do you’ll have a bad day. (There 10-20 moose attack per year vs 20-30 shark attacks per year in the United States)

as an australian who grew up in the surf on the west coast (great white country) don’t worry to much, it’s their home we are just visiting use caution but enjoy the ocean

Yet, there hasn't been an attack since 2018. They have a great system in place with drones and spotter planes. Myfamily and I have been told to get out of the water twice at Nauset Beach. The drone was flying right over the top of the great white. They can't hide in the shallow waters..
