We were standing next to where the guy collapsed,after getting assistance,even though he waited long.He got up and walked towards the finish line which was about 200m away.He finished like a champ,with the crowd cheering him,and well within cut off time.

I know that there is an ICU tent or a tent with medical personnel but I think some need to be on standby along the route on the sidelines ngoba 10mins is a long time to wait for assistance 🥺

I had to leave my hubby lying on the ground screaming in pain and then passing out to go search for help. Not a single person to assist me. The medical tent was on the opposite side of the finish. Major fail.

Thanks to my husband and the other guy for caring even though it was not easy for them as well but through God's power they helped their fellow runner.👏👏

This marathon/sport event is gonna go down if the organizers don't get thier facts right. I have never participated but I watch it on TV every year but 2025 it was disaster

To be honest the comrades marathon organizers did a very poor job this year . From the set up to the flow of the crowd I felt like it would have been better if the finish line was at one of the stadiums to make crowd flow easier and better placement of security as well as paramedics.
