I think there are ethical uses for AI but they mostly come from like cancer research & stuff like that, but those researched built & train their own neural networks

as someone who works in a company that uses AI everywhere, likes creative things and is also a nerd, the issue with AI (not generative just in general) is that there are uses for it that are useful and you could argue outweigh the negatives. but all of the front facing AI from the past like 5 years absolutely don't fit into that box. including its use in my job.

im an artists and my mom is like "but ai is the future, you should take a course on it so that you can use it in a good way" and im trying to make her understand that there is no good way. not until new laws are made at least (this is me being very optimistic)
