@becky.in.chicago: It did NOT go according to plan. Getting a Bundt out of the pan can be tricky and this attempt was kind of a fail. If you have a foolproof no-fail method for getting a cake out of a Bundt pan, PLEASE drop it into the comments! The cake itself? Fantastic. I found a gluten-free vanilla sour cream Bundt cake recipe, replaced half the milk with a cherry purée (I had a bunch to I needed to use up) and tossed in some chopped roasted cherries. 🍒 But clearly my Bundt pan technique needs some work. 😅 #bakingfail #slowliving #slowlife #thriftingfinds #chicagolife #chicagotiktok
your fruit sunk to the bottom and caramelized which added to the problem, toss fruits in flour before adding them at the VERY end right before baking to prevent this. i also recommend "cake goop" as a non stick agent in complex pans like this. spread it in with a pastry brush to get every nook and cranny

butter and flour pan...no sprays. Only let cool for 10-15 minutes then flip!

don't put it in the dishwasher and next time use grease it us butter, shortening, or spray. nordicware pans like that need a little more TLC.
