Definitely type 2 if the rubber hose can hold pressure from my foot it can hold itself

I was at the junk yard with just my ratchet and sockets thinking I could just rip the caliper off the line without cutting it, and let me tell you it takes the force of God to get that line to break.

type 3 the ones that dont pull both slide pin bolt out pull one and loosen the outhere the flip up unless putting new or recefacing

Depends on the weight.. These tiny Toyota aygo calipers won't do any dmg if you let them hang. But for the more powerful cars with big heavy calipers you just support them
