We replaced the bottom step, added fresh balusters for safety and style, and gave the whole deck a fresh coat of solid stain to hide imperfections. Thank you @The Home Depot for gifting us the cedar lumber, Ryobi ONE+ HP 18V Brushless Cordless AirStrike 30° Framing Nailer, Grip-Rite Nails, and Behr Premium Russet Solid Color Waterproofing Exterior Wood Stain and Sealer for this project! The deck is already starting to feel brand new! Next up in our deck makeover, we’re repainting the siding of the house and adding a terraced garden bed!! I think at the bottom of that new step you should put stones/pavers and clear the grass away from the step.
