Eco lab mold and mildew is great also keep the washer door open completely not just cracked. If all else fails you can get a replacement rubber gasket on Amazon for not that expensive and it’s not super hard to replace. I did mine recently bc I got a hole in in and it was leaking

My washer never gets closed, I don’t use scent beads or any fabric softener and the gasket looks like that, it bugs me so much!

There is definitely too much humidity in the laundry. If she has a dryer she needs to keep the doors open when using it also when she finishes using the washing machine she needs to open the windows and doors to allow the excess moisture to escape. Or maybe get her a de-humidifier.

Best way to prevent this is to let it run empty on the hottest temperature with a machine cleaner or dishwasher tablet once a week and clean out the filters. After every wash leave the door fully open and the next day you could leave it cracked open

You can get a new gasket. Mold Is common with this type of washer.

Front load washers should stay open when not in use and when your done your laundry you should wipe out that ring on the outside and the part where you load the detergent

What's causing the mole is that you need to leave the door ajar so that it may breath & not set up mold, try it 👍

You can get mold gel cleaner from Amazon apparently and I’ve heard really good things !

use vinager instead of the fabric softener. fabric softener is toxic and probably causing some of the issue. vinager will kill the mold over time, hopefully
