How can you install a light switch/outlet combo if you have a light switch and no neutral? Is it not possible?

If I’m not mistaken an outlet should not be fed from a light circuit. Light circuits are 14 awg and outlets are 12 awg, it’s a different matter if the light switch is to control the outlet but the circuit wiring and light switch should be rated for the amp draw

I still find new switches in new homes like this. They’re always melted or burned to a crisp

Come on man you gotta have the hook going the same direction. That’s the only way it works.🤪

Just shove one of the wire in the hole on the back of the device!

I use a pigtail with wire nuts. I always install metal boxes and ground it. If a device goes to ground or a wire comes loose and touches. It trips the breaker. I’ll never install the cheap plastic boxes. Seen to many devices short out and catch fire.

You should pigtail wires in box not use device as a pass through anyway
