Once it starts to simmer, add the asparagus in a single layer. Cover and steam for 90 seconds. -After 90 seconds, remove the lid and continue to simmer until almost all of the water has evaporated. -Once the water has evaporated, add the oil, salt, pepper, and any optional toppings.
