@ashleynicolequiroz: We’re talking about human beings yall 💔…. Also @Vickythefitchick is the page I was referring to who is helping to sponsor undocumented families!
I remember houses being abandoned overnight because people were so scared. I had students in South Phoenix who were displaced or left with family or friends because their parents had to leave. 😭

Being in Az & seeing how things are just getting so scary has many of us scared for our families. Every day, I see a new post about ICE anywhere near a family members job or location my heart just stops. Knowing we are being racially profiled, our immigration status doesn’t even matter at this point. No sense of security.

My Dad tried to stand up against this bill. The foundation/nonprofit he worked for at the time told him to stop organizing protests in our community, or he would get fired 🥺 my dad ended up quitting because he believed that no person should be racially profiled or deported for the color of their skin or what they look like. It really affected us financially as a family, but it taught us to always stand up for what is right and to take care of our community. I will always look up to him for the values he and morals he installed in us 🇲🇽✊🏽❤️

I remember this bill, Jan Brewer's handiwork. This bill was going to benefit the private prison system, CCA to be exact.
