Dental assistant here. The pain is coming from the tooth extraction not the implant. When people have been missing a tooth for a while and then get the implant there is little to no pain. Like little old ladies say they had zero pain. BUT implants have a higher success rate when placed at the time of extraction of the tooth so it’s better even tho there’s more recovery pain.

That implant site does not look normal. Did you just recently have it placed? You definitely need it looked at. I also noticed your other tooth is chipped. Did you have trauma to your face? Hope you’re okay 💞

I had 2 dental implants done in Mexico and did not have issues or pain. I was able to eat with out pain. They prescribed antibiotics and some pain meds.

I had this done. Extraction, bone graft and implant the same day. It wasn't bad at all. In fact there was no pain afterwards at all. Then I had to let it all heal for 3 months and then they placed the tooth. There should be minimal pain. If you're having that much pain, something is off.
