@savagelatinalungs: Did I consented to my Chemotherapy port? 🤔 As I recount the day of my biopsy and relive the horrors of that day as I went into the OR I KNEW that when I woke up my whole life could be different. The plan was simple: Biopsy-Pathology Test: If Yes For Cancer Install Port. If not don’t. I remembered preparing myself for the possibility that I would wake up and have a foreign item in my body and that this would be an immediate indicator that my test was positive for Cancer. As much as I tried, the pain when I opened my eyes as I tried to understand the world around me is when I asked “what’s this?” And my nurse said “that’s your port”… that’s when I knew… Nithing can prepare you for the immediate grief and fear that settles in. But is at this moment that like an angel my recovery nurse made me feel that everything will be ok. 🙏🙏🙏 #lungcancer #lungcancerawareness #cancersurvivor #cancerthriver
