During a recent inspection, the rear lower trailing arm bushings were flagged for replacement. While they’re not completely destroyed yet, they do show clear signs of aging: cracks and tears after 26 years of service. • What’s amazing? The bolts holding the trailing arms have never been removed. Today, we’ll find out if they’ll come out smoothly — or if we’re in for a fight with rust, cutting tools, heat, and brute force. • If everything unscrews properly, the job is quick and easy: you can press out the old bushings or replace the entire arm. Just don’t forget one crucial detail — always tighten suspension bolts when the car is sitting on its wheels, under its own weight. This is critical for bushing longevity.
