charging from 85% would add very little range in just 20 minutes, 99% of people would charge from like 20% which would add at least 75-100 miles of range in 20 minutes. I would've thought Mat Watson of all people would know this tbh

charging significantly slows down after 80%. so why he started charging at 82% is beyond me. most people stop at 80%. also a 350kw tesla charger is way faster

It’s relative to how low the charge level is…if you were on 40% on arrival it would change faster and give you more range. It’s slower at 80 - 100%.

Tesla from 20 - 80% around 25 mins and cheaper tarrif charging over 80% us slower, in real life you wouldn’t do that

So basically carwow no longer objectively reviews cars yeah? It’s now turned into click bait videos. First the Model Y video that won in every category against the BYD but still somehow lost. And now charging an EV that’s already at 82% and saying it’s slow 🙄

For those that don’t know this is a silly example of a test . You top up the battery when it’s low not at 80% the speed is much slower the higher the state of charge for example if I charge with just 5 % remaining it will go to 80% in about 20 mins on my Tesla
