I was a very vocal child free by choice dog mom and now I have 2 under 2. You just gotta let the trash take itself out and remember how weird people are when deciding what to share of your daughter. You don’t owe anyone anything. But being a mom is so fun and I’m so excited for you, dog moms make the best moms!!

I am excited for you! I’m typically one who unfollows when someone gets pregnant bc their content tends to become all about the baby or being a parent. As long as being a dog parent remains the primary focus of your content, I’m still along for the journey. Regardless if it’s the content I want to see from you, I’m happy if you’re happy!

I never thought I’d have a baby bc I needed IVF and it’s expensive. So I was a dog mom for 9 years. I had my son in ‘23, because my husbands insurance covered IVF! Congratulations, I’m happy for you 🥹

In over a decade of being in the online dog space, I’ve noticed there’s a pervasive anti-kid attitude. I understand that childfree people need spaces to feel comfortable but I’m confused why it’s the dog space. I’ve spoken to friends with kids who are super into dogs who feel they are downright unwelcome. It’s almost the reverse of typical society, almost taboo to have or want kids and the default is childfree by choice. I don’t get it - childfree or parent to human kids has little to do with dogs, and you can absolutely be both a human mom and a dog mom! Regardless, I’m happy for you and your husband and Russell who will be the best big brother!

I am very firmly childfree by choice. It's a big part of my personality and there is not a whole lot I want less in the world than to be a mother. With that being said - people are weird af. I would never think to unfollow someone I have enjoyed following because they decided to have kids 🤣 don't worry - some of us loud and proud childfree by choicers are here to stay.
