Nice sales pitch, but I’m going to give you an honest response to this. There is a reason why artist put up with sites like twitter, it’s better engagement, has stuff going on (news, funny reels, etc). Basically it has a charm that keeps people there. It’s why sites like bluesky is only getting used as a safety net in case twitter does a major shutdown like tumblr. Having a “art” only site has good intentions, but within a year after the hype dies down it’ll be passed along for that abusive relationship twitter offers.

Because making artists visible means money (creates thieves like Fiverr), making artists too visible means competition (creating a pond with too much like Etsy or DeviantArt), since beung visible is our business we will always have to move where it is fresh and where we are few. It’s definitely sad though. Although Tiktok’s kind of working in my opinion… I’m just scared if when it ends.
