Nah, if someone can't admit when they're wrong I don't want to be around them

The way you said it, I almost got convinced. But it's the worst advice if you think over it. Sometimes you have to clearly state your position, and which is the right thing to do in the real life, and you need to win that argument. I would say that you should do both--be open to be convinced (lose an argument) and be ready to stand up for yourself

If winning an argument will jeopardize a relationship then that relationship isn’t worth it

It depends on the argument. You have to pick your battles. It’s wrong advice to always lose arguments because you won’t get respect that way

Are we saying we have to be hurtful to win? Sometimes the truth is a win whether they like it or not

I have let every person who has argued with me win. they're not in my life anymore and I'm all the better for it

Except for the fact that you’re dealing with values and matters that challenge integrity. Looking for a comon regard on coherency ans insisting in that is not wanting to win. There’re so many nuances— This is oversimplification.

It takes a lot of maturity to be able to walk away from arguments. Some of them are so tempting. You just want to put your point out but He is right. It never ends well

It’s often better to have peace then have to win an argument.

John Mirrione :
In a relationship, arguments should be avoided, as they often indicate an attempt to control the narrative. A healthy relationship prioritizes making things right over being right. I believe this is fundamental to its success or failure.

There’s a scene in the movie “A Bronx Tale” where the lesson is if somebody owes you $20 & they keep avoiding you, then you got that person out of your life for cheap. Sometimes it’s worth the argument.
