You know you can buy thermostat plug-ins so it will turn the ac off and kick the power back on the same way it just does it at certain temps I use them all the time for in floor heat and they work great

I think they make an ac with a remote. And some on Amazon you can change temp with phone

can't you just set a temp on your ac unit so it automatically turns off n on? mine unit does and that way it saves you some fuel because your generator just idle when ac compressor isn't running.
